John is a highly skilled professional with 24 years of experience in the construction industry and broad knowledge of all phases of commercial construction and project management.
He will be responsible for overall project safety, site management, scheduling, as well as coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Understanding the importance of team collaboration, providing clear and continuous communication throughout the building process, are his top priorities. John and his wife have been married for 27 years and have a daughter that is a pastry chef in Rye, NY.

Julia will be responsible for monitoring daily reports, submittals, drawing logs and closeouts while overseeing the set-up and processing of all new project administrative needs.

We are thrilled to welcome our summer intern Jeremy Hall. Jeremy just completed his freshman year at Wentworth Institute with a major in Construction Management. Jeremy will split his time between being in the office as well as on-site at the Mauro Motors project.
Jeremy is an Eagle Scout and while in high school, through the A.C.E. Mentorship program, he worked on interesting projects, even a Green Buildings award! Jeremy has experience with paving and landscaping from previous work with a paving company.

O,R&L Construction named Construction Manager for Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Renovations
September 25th, 2019
O,R&L Construction is the proud Construction Manager for Gaylord Specialty Healthcare. Gaylord has mapped out $10 million in modernizing improvements to 100 inpatient rooms located on four floors in its Lyman and Hooker wings. Work on the first floor of Lyman began in March and is expected to wrap in October. Next up will be the first floor of Hooker, which is expected to take until April.

Todd Renz rides in 2019 Closer to Free Ride

Since the first Closer to Free Ride in 2011, the riders, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters have generated more than $15 Million for the life-saving and life-changing work of Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center.

A few words from one of our Assistant Superintendent, Emmanuel Bangam regarding his opportunity to visit his home in Ghana during a time of need. "I extend greetings from My Dad, Mr. David Bangam, and the entire Bangam family. They were very happy when I arrived to be part of my late sister’s burial. My presence indeed, contributed immensely to the entire burial and bereavement process. On behalf of my myself and my family, I wish to extend my profound gratitude to the entire staff of O,R&L Construction for making it possible for me to mourn with my family. The O,R&L Construction Corporation team is excited to announce the addition of John F. Raccuia as a Senior Project Manager.
In this role, Raccuia will manage, develop, maintain and oversee projects throughout the various phases of construction. His role will include but are not limited to construction planning, cost-control procedures and managing projects.
Raccuia has 38 years of construction industry experience in Connecticut directing and executing new construction and renovation projects including Offices, Laboratories, Clinics, Educational, Hospital, Mechanical Infrastructure, Vivariums, Manufacturing, Warehouses, Interiors and LEED projects. Prior to joining O,R&L, he served as the President of a General Contractor/Construction Management firm serving Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, Healthcare and Educational clients.
Raccuia has a Bachelor of Science (with Distinction), Civil Engineering from Clarkson University. He is also a state of Connecticut Licensed Professional Engineer.

O,R&L Construction is proud to announce the promotion of Cliff Lennox, LEED AP, from Senior Project Manager to Vice President of Operations. Cliff has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, almost 15 of which have been for O,R&L. Cliff has managed countless major projects for O,R&L. Most recently he successfully managed the Backus Center for Specialty Care in Plainfield and our particularly challenging Bridgeport Microgrid project.
As Vice President of Operations, Cliff will continue to manage construction projects but also monitor all other projects, oversee all Senior Staff and oversee all company operations ensuring that they run properly and meet our yearly business goals.
Congratulations, Cliff, on this well-deserved promotion!

Brian holds a Masters in Architecture from The Catholic University of America. He has almost 30 years of experience in the industry, most of which he spent at JCJ Architecture in Hartford. Most recently, Brian served as the Director of Design & Development and as an Owner’s Rep for Saratoga Game & Racing. Tom brings over 28 years of construction experience to O,R&L. His previous experience includes project engineering and project management, as well as owning his own remodeling business for 11 years.

Angelo Ciotti, Promoted to General Superintendent

O,R&L Construction is proud to announce the promotion of Angelo Ciotti from Superintendent to General Superintendent. Angelo has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry, 20 of which have been for O,R&L. Angelo has managed countless major projects for O,R&L including the Hartford Hospital Family Health Center in South Windsor, Soundview Family YMCA in Branford, and International Aero Engines in Glastonbury. He is also in charge of one of our largest projects currently under construction--the Backus Center for Specialty Care in Plainfield.
As General Superintendent, Angelo will not only oversee and manage project job sites, he will also act as a mentor for all incoming field employees. We are excited not only to promote Angelo, but to see more successful projects of his develop in the future.

Backus Hospital Expansion Planned to Begin in April
March 24th, 2015
O,R&L Construction will begin construction in April for the two-story, 40,000 square-foot Backus Hospital expansion. The Backus Center for Specialty Care, to be run by William W. Backus Hospital, will include several medical services, including physical rehabilitation, a women's health office, an infusion section and an ambulatory surgery center.

The O,R&L team was involved in the development and planning of this magnet school working with the owners and the design professionals early in the design review phase to ensure that the completed facility provided for an efficient and functional school setting to meet the demands of the educational environment.
