O,R&L Construction provides clients with sustainable building strategies that significantly reduce or eliminate negative impacts on the building’s occupants and the wider environment.
O,R&L has a Construction Waste Management plan with a minimum goal of 75% recycling for all construction projects.
O,R&L has gained over $1,000,000 of energy incentives for our clients through state programs in the last 25 years. These incentives include energy and lighting upgrades through Eversource, United Illuminating, and the CT Green Bank.
LEED/Sustainable Energy Experience
Hartford Hospital MOB • South Windsor, CT
A 16,000 sq ft Design Build Development project of a Medical Office building. This 2-story multi-tenant building for Hartford Hospital has a unique facade consisting of brick, metal panel and glazed wall systems. This project is registered with the USGBC with a certification goal of LEED Silver.
Soundview Family YMCA • Branford, CT
This project consists of the construction of additions and renovations to the existing Soundview Family YMCA building, associated site work, additional parking spaces, and outdoor components and amenities.
Congeneration Facility • North Haven, CT
Construction Manager for a Cogeneration project with EPS Corp. The alternate energy project was for a North Haven Corporation’s five megawatt cogeneration plant, which provides supplemental energy to the existing manufacturing facility.
FuelCell Energy • Danbury, CT
Construction of an outdoor facility for testing and conditioning of FuelCell Energy’s 200KW direct fuel cell product line.
